"2" at upper right may be related to carrier fee (P.F. declines opinion as to its origin and purpose), some slight wear, Very Fine, the "2" handstamp was used to indicate payment in cash of "to the mails" carrier service for a destination outside the old city limits (pre-1854 consolidation -- see article in
